Our mission is to introduce students to the cultural and emotional value, and art of ballroom dance. We host regular practices multiple days a week where students can explore both the competitive and social nature of ballroom. We also organize campus-wide events that promote unfamiliar dance styles and build community. Our aim is also to improve members’ communication skills, etiquette, and be a space for socializing. As Betas, Beta Kappa Phi adds to Wooster’s mission and vision by being a community where independent minds genuinely work together. We bring together people from all over the world and across many different majors, and that diversity shapes how we learn, lead, and show up for each other every day. In a campus built on rigorous learning and big questions, we extend that work beyond the classroom by creating a space where members can share perspectives, challenge assumptions, and grow into confident communicators and thoughtful decision-makers.
Our chapter also supports Wooster’s vision of preparing students for an interdependent global community by making global community feel personal. Chasing International Dance Team is a dance performance group created to entertain and introduce our campus to many styles of dance. Chasing showcases global dance forms to emphasize its members’ cultural diversity by learning the dance styles of our members’ hometowns and backgrounds. The team learns several group-oriented dances each semester and hosts Showcases at the end of the fall and spring semesters. Chasing focuses on providing its members with leadership opportunities, concentrating on body awareness in technique, and bringing dancers together in community and spirit.

The College of Wooster Club Soccer team is a student-run club organization at the College of Wooster that was officially established in 2014. The purpose of this student organization shall be to bring people together to play soccer. The co-ed club is an inclusive yet competitive team that practices anywhere from 3-5 days a week. The club is open to students of all skill levels and actively promotes sportsmanship, friendship, and teamwork inside and outside the classroom. The club also serves as an exceptional medium to connect students of all ethnicities and backgrounds. Games against other schools are organized in a year-by-year basis against other colleges.

The College of Wooster Pre-Dental Society (CWPDS) is an organization that strives to support our members in becoming competitive dental school applicants through educational opportunities, exposure to the dental field, and community service. We hope to offer our members DAT preparation sessions, advising sessions, as well as dental school tours, shadowing opportunities, and dental professional presentations. CWPDS aims to provide a solid support system for pre-dental students where they can get advice and gain mentorship from students who have gone through the process. This organization of women will be called Delta Theta Psi. Delta, meaning change, represents our hope to grow and mature as a result of our sisterhood. Our mission is to create a welcoming, stress-free environment for fiber arts lovers (e.g. knitters, crocheters, stitchers, menders, etc.) to gather and create together. We hope to spread fiber arts knowledge while creating an inclusive and supportive community. As a community service oriented organization, one of our main projects each year is creating a collaborative blanket to donate.

At our weekly meetings, our members learn and teach new fiber arts techniques, work on personal projects, and contribute to our community service project. Most meetings are unstructured, but we also hold a few workshops to teach new skills. As our club is meant to be a relaxing space, meetings are not obligatory, and you can attend as many or as few as you would like. We’d love for you to join us even if you only attend a few meetings per semester!!

The College of Wooster's Neuroscience Club is a group founded to foster a shared passion for learning about the brain. The Club is open to every student, regardless of their major. The club also participates in events open to the community to promote neuroscience as a field and promote STEM education. The executive board of Neuroscience Club functions as a six-person team to ensure the group is strongly led, but not all the power and ideas are tied to a single individual.

Section 2: Mission Statement
The Physics Club intends to raise awareness and bring enthusiasm of scientific events and the importance of science in daily life on campus, and to provide an informal setting in which students interested in physics may congregate and build community. The organization also hopes to provide people interested in physics with a platform where they can build connections through faculty, staff and alum as well as professionals from other institutions and organizations. The organization also strives to promote an awareness of physics within the college through on-campus events, as well as in the surrounding Wooster community through various outreach programs from elementary school visits to Science Day. The purpose of The Sexual Respect Coalition is to bring awareness to and fight against the effects of rape culture and to provide sexual education to students at The College of Wooster. Our weekly meetings will be a space to support survivors, in addition to being our allotted time for discussion, advocacy, and activism to better the campus climate. As an all-gender group, we will provide an outlet for those at Wooster who are vocal about jazz. The Dukes are going to create meaningful opportunities for the improvement of self and community.

Members of the Dukes participate in a fun environment to sing jazz through two rehearsals a week and a few performances per semester. Members also benefit from relaxed Dukes bonding nights, where we listen to jazz and play games or do other activities as a group. The purpose of this student organization shall be to promote artistic creation and community on campus. To accomplish this, The Goliard holds creative workshops, puts on live music events, participates in relevant campus events, and publishes a yearly magazine consisting of original prose, poetry, visual art, and music created by students.

Founded in the 1989-1990 academic year, The Goliard’s mission is simple: to cultivate an inclusive creative community through the publication of a yearly literary magazine and numerous arts-related events. These events include (but are not limited to) live music events (Covers), poetry/prose readings (The Moth), creative workshops, community collage events, and general open mic nights.

Each year, we publish an edition of The Goliard, a literary magazine in which we aim to publish a well-rounded, representative selection of original student literature and art (e.g. poetry, prose, music, visual art). Our executive board includes an editorial staff that reviews submissions. All College of Wooster students are welcome to submit their work to the magazine. Physical copies of the magazine are printed and distributed every spring semester. Here are brief descriptions of Covers and The Moth:
Covers: a monthly live music event where students sign up to play cover songs that align with that show’s theme
The Moth: a “storytelling event”–a literature-focused open mic night where students are invited to share their original work, often including magazine submissions

Such events serve as important opportunities for student artists to share their artistic voices and for students to engage with each other’s creative works.
