Our mission is to introduce students to the cultural and emotional value, and art of ballroom dance. We host regular practices multiple days a week where students can explore both the competitive and social nature of ballroom. We also organize campus-wide events that promote unfamiliar dance styles and build community. Our aim is also to improve members’ communication skills, etiquette, and be a space for socializing. As Betas, Beta Kappa Phi adds to Wooster’s mission and vision by being a community where independent minds genuinely work together. Chasing International Dance Team is a dance performance group created to entertain and introduce our campus to many styles of dance. Chasing showcases global dance forms to emphasize its members’ cultural diversity by learning the dance styles of our members’ hometowns and backgrounds. The team learns several group-oriented dances each semester and hosts Showcases at the end of the fall and spring semesters. Cleveland Student Music Therapists will foster intellectual discussion about Music Therapy, advocate for the Music Therapy profession, attend and network with professionals at conferences, and perform community and campus outreach through group therapeutic music experiences.

The College of Wooster Club Soccer team is a student-run club organization at the College of Wooster that was officially established in 2014. The purpose of this student organization shall be to bring people together to play soccer. The co-ed club is an inclusive yet competitive team that practices anywhere from 3-5 days a week. The club is open to students of all skill levels and actively promotes sportsmanship, friendship, and teamwork inside and outside the classroom. The club also serves as an exceptional medium to connect students of all ethnicities and backgrounds. Games against other schools are organized in a year-by-year basis against other colleges.

Our mission is to create a welcoming, stress-free environment for fiber arts lovers (e.g. knitters, crocheters, stitchers, menders, etc.) to gather and create together. We hope to spread fiber arts knowledge while creating an inclusive and supportive community. As a community service oriented organization, one of our main projects each year is creating a collaborative blanket to donate.

At our weekly meetings, our members learn and teach new fiber arts techniques, work on personal projects, and contribute to our community service project. Most meetings are unstructured, but we also hold a few workshops to teach new skills. As our club is meant to be a relaxing space, meetings are not obligatory, and you can attend as many or as few as you would like. We’d love for you to join us even if you only attend a few meetings per semester!!

Our organization aims to improve relationships between underrepresented minorities in STEM and
faculty by organizing community-wide events and programs that facilitate conversations. We will
establish working relationships between under and upperclassmen through mentorship opportunities at every meeting. We aim to increase STEM recruitment and retention by building a community through group activities, invitation of guest speakers, community outreach and off campus conferences at least once a semester. The College of Wooster's Neuroscience Club is a group founded to foster a shared passion for learning about the brain. The Club is open to every student, regardless of their major. The club also participates in events open to the community to promote neuroscience as a field and promote STEM education. The executive board of Neuroscience Club functions as a six-person team to ensure the group is strongly led, but not all the power and ideas are tied to a single individual.

The purpose of this student organization shall be to promote artistic creation and community on campus. To accomplish this, The Goliard holds creative workshops, puts on live music events, participates in relevant campus events, and publishes a yearly magazine consisting of original prose, poetry, visual art, and music created by students.

Founded in the 1989-1990 academic year, The Goliard’s mission is simple: to cultivate an inclusive creative community through the publication of a yearly literary magazine and numerous arts-related events. These events include (but are not limited to) live music events (Covers), poetry/prose readings (The Moth), creative workshops, community collage events, and general open mic nights.

Each year, we publish an edition of The Goliard, a literary magazine in which we aim to publish a well-rounded, representative selection of original student literature and art (e.g. poetry, prose, music, visual art). Our executive board includes an editorial staff that reviews submissions. All College of Wooster students are welcome to submit their work to the magazine. Physical copies of the magazine are printed and distributed every spring semester. Here are brief descriptions of Covers and The Moth:
Covers: a monthly live music event where students sign up to play cover songs that align with that show’s theme
The Moth: a “storytelling event”–a literature-focused open mic night where students are invited to share their original work, often including magazine submissions

Such events serve as important opportunities for student artists to share their artistic voices and for students to engage with each other’s creative works.
